Adopt and resource rural constituencies now -Sam Pyne appeals to NPP Diaspora branches

The Mayor for Kumasi and former Ashanti Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon Samuel Pyne has appealed to the party’s overseas branches to sustain the financing of campaign activities of rural branches ahead of the December 7 elections.

This, he stated, would be the only way to make the campaign activities in these deprived communities vibrant, active and visible.

Addressing the Luton Chapter of the NPP-UK branch, Hon Pyne said the contributions of the diapora branches have been beneficial to the NPP.

“The NPP is grateful for your unflincing support and financial contributions to sustaining campaigns in rural communities and it is our wish that you sustain the “adopt a rural branch” model where you assisted and funded campaign activities of those areas countrywide”, the Mayor stated.

Campaign:

The Kumasi Mayor said the general public have benefitted from the social interventions of the NPP government.

This, he noted, makes it easy for the NPP to campaign and woo the electorate over to vote for the paryty in the upcoming polls in December.

Hon Pyne said by constantly harping on the policies and programs the party had undertaken in the last 7 years, the people would be conscientised to appreciate the volume of work the NPP had done.

“Previously some of you had to send money for the secondary education of your children and other relatives but since the implementation of the free SHS policy you have had to use that monies into other needful ventures. It is with this that i charge you to resource the party especially members back home in Ghana so we can campaign well and win a third time victory at the polls”, hon Pyne stressed.

Commendation:

The Mayor commended the UK, NPP branch and the Luton Chapter particularly for showing support to the NPP the past ten years.

He called on them to sustain the activities that bind them together as a group and one people.

Honour:

Later on, the Luton Chapter honored the Kumasi Mayor for his unbridled commitment to the work of the NPP.

They attested to the industry, communication and managerial acumen of the Mayor and asked that he gives the party his best.

Additional Information:

Present at the Luton event was the NPP-UK Branch Chairman, Kingsley Adumattah, Mr Agyapong, the 2nd Vice- Chairman and Ibrahim Abdul Mumuni, Secretary.
