The General Overseer of the Caravan of Prayer Outreach Ministry at Gyinyase in the Asokwa Municipality of Ashanti, Apostle Johnson Ackah Braimah, has urged the media as a matter of urgency to mount pressure on the Parliament to pass what he described as the ” Continuity Bill” that restricts all future governments from doing the needful.

According to him, Ghanaians are suffering enough in the hands of politicians in misplaced priority, and it is the responsibility of the media to put them in their right shoes.

Apostle Braimah explained that politicians, both in the past and in the current, solicit loans on behalf of Ghana to undertake projects, yet some of those projects are made to rot in the bush and other places.

He said, instead of paying much attention to those projects by completing them to serve their intended purposes by the successive governments, they also neglected them because they were not initiated by them.

Apostle Johnson Ackah Braimah complained bitterly that this attitude of our politicians should be condemned outrightly since it is causing Ghanaians a nation a lot. He said, there are some gutters or culverts that were constructed to pave way for road construction in the era of former Presidents John Agyekum Kuffuor, late Prof.Atta Mills, Nana Akuffo- Addo, John Dramani Mahama with either part or all parts had been collapsed resulting in the abandoned of these projects.

Apostle Braimah said, ‘We cried as a nation of insufficient funds, yet we cannot judiciously utilise the little we have.’ He was on the view that, if this bill is passed, it would go a long way to help Ghana see a lot of progress and development.

“This bill will help a lot because the government in power will only award contracts based on the money available. For instance, if the work is from Kejetia to Bechem and the funds available can take the work to Mankranso, the government will not construct gutters from Kejetia to Bechem but rather to Mankranso so that the next government will also look for a loan and continue from Mankranso to Bechem.” he added.
