The Second Vice Chairman for Suame Constituency of New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr Richard Akwasi Asante, has called on the police to arrest Captain Smart to assist investigations into the death of Hon Dr John Kumah, Deputy Finance Minister.

According to the Vice Chairman, Captain Smart, knows the perpetrators who voluntarily caused the death of Hon John Kumah.

Speaking to the media, Mr Asante, disclosed that Captain Smart predicted the death of the Ejisu Legislator few days ago, therefore he is privy to plot leading to his death.

According to Mr Asante, the famous media practitioner claimed in a video that Dr John Kumah was poisoned during a political gathering.

According to Captain Smart, Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako, Ashanti Regional Chairman of NPP, also suffered from the poisonous substance but escaped death.

According to Suame NPP Vice Chairman, Captain Smart claimed that Dr John Kumah was killed to cut short his political progression by some people who are closed to the party.

Mr Asante therefore urged the government to be proactive in ensuring the existing laws deal with the perpetrators to serve as a detriment to others.
