The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asokore-Mampong within greater Kumasi,Hon.Kennedy Kwasi Kankam, has tasked the Assembly’s revenue collectors to put in their maximum efforts to help generate more Internal Generated Funds (IGF) to help Fast-track development in the area.

According to him, the management of the Assembly on their part is committed to providing them with all the necessary logistics support including motivational package to make their work easy.

Addressing the Revenue staff of the Assembly on Thursday, 30th June,2022,Hon.Kankam said they need to explore the new method  for revenue mobilization.

That Management will do their best to provide the Revenue staff or collectors with all the necessary logistics to operate. “I’m pleading with you to also provide us with the necessary data. Our doors are opened for suggestions to help mobilize enough funds for our developmental agenda”.

The MCE said necessary sensitization will be given to the public to ensure smooth payment of their Fees, charges and levies to the Assembly. He warned the revenue staff to desist from all acts of corruption since anyone caught condoning with taxes payers would be dealt with drastically to serve as deterrent to others.

Hon.Kennedy Kwasi Kankam promised to complete all staff bungalows before his tenure ends. “We need to help to mobilize more IGF. If you sabotage the system, I will use the law against you”,he cautioned.
