CHAIRMAN WONTUMI SYMPATHISES WITH VICTIMS OF KEJETIA MARKET FIRE

Thursday, 16th March, 2023

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi – Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi) is deeply saddened by the news of fire outbreak at the Kejetia Market with its attendant loss of goods and property.

He is deeply worried by the recurrent incident of fire outbreaks at that section of the Central Business District, especially when the redeveloped market has to inherit this menace, and as the leader of the governing party in the region, he will ensure that the government looks into how we can nip it in the bud.

He, however, believes this incident is a compelling reminder of the need for both the authorities and the traders to cooperate in taking precautions against, and finding a lasting solution to, these fire outbreaks.

Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako

Chairman Wontumi sympathises with the affected traders of this incident, especially the women trying to earn a living to keep body and soul together.

He is assuring them that the NPP will stand with them at this difficult period, and help them get back to their businesses.
