As a gesture of appreciation, the Chief and people of Wugingo in Sirigu presented beautiful smocks to both the MP and the DCE.

Speaking at the Commissioning ceremony, Nikyema Billa Alamzy disclosed that he has filed parliamentary questions on the persistent electricity and water challenges facing the Sirigu community and the entire District.
He pledged to wear the gifted smock when those questions are tabled on the floor of Parliament.
The MP, DCE, assembly members and community leaders also inspected a collapsed bridge that has cut off the community from other districts and neighboring Burkina Faso on 23rd March 2022.
Addressing the issue, the Chiana-Paga MP said he is working one-on-one with the Roads Minister and the Government of Ghana to address the bad road network in the constituency, with priority on reconstructing the bridge.

He noted that Paga is a commercial town and that majority of the heavy-duty trucks travelling to Burkina Faso use that road.
“There is a need to construct that road to help generate income for the country,”he stated.
The chiefs and people expressed their profound gratitude to the DCE, the MP, and the Government for delivering the projects, which they said would significantly improve education, healthcare, and access to clean water in the communities.
Nikyema Billa Alamzy is a first-time Member of Parliament but has proven to be one of the most hardworking MPs in the history of the Chiana-Paga Constituency, judging by the number of development projects he is delivering for the good people of Chiana-Paga.
Chiana-Paga is one of the largest constituencies in the Upper East Region and shares a border with Burkina Faso.
While constituents expressed satisfaction with the DCE and MP, they appealed to them to do more to address the poor road network in the constituency, which they say is making life unbearable for residents and road users.
