A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communication team in the Ashanti Region, Nana Adjei, has stated that the victory of Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, as Ashanti Regional Chairman poses a serious threat to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the region.

According to him, the overwhelming victory of Chairman COKA has caused panic within the NDC, forcing the party to resort to a deliberate agenda to dent his hard-won reputation through false allegations

Speaking on Kessben FM’s evening political show in Kumasi in response to claims made by NDC communicator Mamud Kabore against the new Regional Chairman, Nana Adjei dismissed the allegations as baseless and politically motivated.
He described Chairman COKA as a humble, results-oriented leader with a proven track record in leadership and grassroots mobilization. He noted that COKA won the election because of his good human relations, accessibility, and long-standing service to the party.

“Chairman COKA is loved by the people at the base. His election was a reflection of the will of the delegates and his connection with the grassroots. That is why his victory is giving the NDC sleepless nights,” Nana Adjei stated.
He further alleged that since the assuming office, there have been calculated attempts by NDC communicators to destroy the image of the new Ashanti Regional Chairman, describing the move as unacceptable and an act of desperation.
Nana Adjei called on NPP supporters to remain united behind Chairman COKA and resist any attempt to distract him from his core mandate of strengthening the party in its stronghold ahead2028 general elections.
He expressed confidence that under the leadership of Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, the NPP in the Ashanti Region will become more united, formidable, and attractive to floating voters
