Dr. Agyemang disclosed that since the announcement by Otumfuo, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, Mrs. Felicia Quenin, with the support of management and the board, decided to set aside a percentage of money generated from the sale of their products such as Hepaplus Mixture, Pavi and Plasmox to support the King’s laudable initiative.

“So far, we have been able to mobilise GH¢30,000 and because of inflation, among other factors, we decided not wait and decided to donate what we’ve mobilised to support the project.
We shall definitely come back to support the project as and when we’re able to mobilise more funds from the sale of our products,” he said.

He continued, “Our donation is also to encourage others not to wait to donate, thinking that their money is too small for the project. Let’s all come on board to support our King’s initiative.”
Besides, he used the opportunity to advise Ghanaians to patronise EPHC products for their general well-being.
“Apart from improving their well-being for using EHPC products, they would also help the company to donate more to support the ‘Heal Komfo Anokye project’,” he noted.
Aside from the GH¢30,000 cheque presented, the company also donated some of its products such as Pavi Herbal Mixture, Plasmox Herbal Mixture and capsules to the “Heal Komfo Anokye” project team and management team to enable them to continue to be healthy and strong for the assignment given to them by Otumfuo.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Agyemang was highly impressed with the marvelous work done at KATH.
He was full of praise for Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, “Heal Komfo Anokye” project committee, CEO of KATH, Prof. Addai-Mensah, management of the hospital and donors.
He also appealed to all Ghanaians, especially those in the Asante Kingdom, to support the project.
Mr Kwadwo Sarbeng, Medical Director of KATH, and Ms.
Afua Sam, Director of Nursing at KATH, among other management staff members, received the donation on behalf of the CEO and the “Heal Komfo Anokye” project committee.
Mr. Sarbeng commended EHPC for its kind gesture. He said like Oliver Twist, they would continue to appeal to all Ghanaians to come out with their donations to help ensure complete renovation of the hospital.
According to him, as has already been indicated, since the construction of the hospital in 1950, there has not been any major renovation such as the initiative by Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
“We still need more support to ensure the completion of the project,” he appealed.
He indicated that major referral cases of 12 out of 16 regions come to the hospital.
