Go Home and Register for Your Voter ID-GES directs Form 2 students above 18yrs

 

 

Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed all form Two(2) students in the Second cycle institutions across the country who have attained 18 years and above to go home and register for their Voter Identification Cards in the ongoing Limited Registration Exercise by the Electoral Commission (EC).

A letter addressed to all Regional Directors of Education dated 19th September,2023 and signed by Mr.Prince C.Agyrmang-Duah,Ag Director Schools and Instructions Division on behalf of the Director General (D-G) has announced.

The letter entitled “VOTER REGISTRATION EXERCISE FOR STUDENTS ABOVE EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE WHO ARE IN SCHOOL”.
reads “As part of the Constitutional regulations to all Ghanaians citizens to exercise their franchise, Management of the Ghana Education Service ( GES) has granted form two (2) students who are Eighteen (18) years and above the permission to go home and register for their Voter Identification Card(ID).

The form two (2) students are granted three(3)days effective Friday,22nd September to Sunday,24th September,2023.
By a copy of this letter Regional Directors of Education are kindly requested to communicate the above to all Heads of Second cycle institutions within your jurisdiction.Thank You”.
