Assembly members of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) met on Tuesday, September 8, and Wednesday, September 9, 2026, for the 2nd Ordinary Meeting of the 3rd Session of the 9th Assembly at the Prempeh Assembly Hall, Kumasi.

Richard Kwasi Ofori Boadi Agyemang (Mayor) and Patrick Kwame Frimpong (PM)

The meeting brought together Assembly members and technocrats to share invaluable knowledge that would propel the forward march of the Assembly in areas including, but not limited to, infrastructure, revenue, trade, education, health, and the social welfare of inhabitants of the metropolis.

Patrick Kwame Frimpong, KMA Presiding Member (PM)
The Mayor of Kumasi set the ball rolling with a comprehensive Authority Report, which detailed the Assembly’s achievements in revenue from January to June 2026, and pressing issues that need to be addressed.

Also captured in the Mayor’s report were administrative, regulatory, technical, and developmental issues emanating from the various sub-committees of the Assembly.
Members thoroughly subjected the report to critical discussion and approved it, as permitted by the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).
