Member of Parliament for Effiduase, Dr Ayew Afriye, has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region to set their personal interests aside and rally behind the party ahead of the 2028 elections.

He believes that with a united and solid front, the NPP can make the case to the Ghanaian people that it is ready to take power and govern the country in the right direction.

“The Ashanti Region remains the engine of our party. I call upon party faithfuls across all levels to recognise the need for us to unite for victory 2028. The collective good of the NPP must supersede all individual interests at this moment.

LET’S RALLY BEHIND THE NEWLY ELECTED ASHANTI REGIONAL EXECUTIVES

Over the past few weeks, the Ashanti party had been busy with preparations towards its regional elections, held last Saturday. Although, I was and remain unavoidably absent from the jurisdiction in the past few weeks, my thoughts and prayers however, had being for a very successful election. The good Lord granted it. Blessings!!!

I take this opportunity again to extend my warmest congratulations to Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (COKA) and all the newly elected executive officers chosen by the Ashanti regional delegates during yesterday’s elections.

This election reflects the vibrant democratic spirit of our party. However, the contest is now behind us, and our paramount focus must immediately shift toward the collective good of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

We must, therefore, work shoulder-to-shoulder to present a formidable front ahead of 2028. Indeed, with the poor performance of the NDC (at this point, am inviting Opananom to attack, which is normal anyways), I am convinced beyond the ordinary that, power is up for grab by the NPP come 7th December 2028.
