By:Charles Ampong

The National Democratic Congress constituency chairman for Kwadaso in Ashanti, Mr Moro Issah, has stated that the main challenge facing the constituency is the teaming unemployment, especially among the youth.

He said, though it is enshrined in the party’s manifestos to address the national unemployment rate, there is the need to redouble efforts to address the menace.

Mr Moro Issah, who is seeking for the third term as the constituency chairman, said the major complaint emanating from his campaigns is unemployment issues.

He explained that, his excellency, John Dramani Mahama’s led government is determined to leave no stone unturned; there is the need to intensify efforts to solve it.

He reiterated that “the devil finds a job for idle hands” and strongly believed that the crime rate would bring to the barest minimum if the youth are employed and surely translate into votes in favour of the NDC government.

He said one of the major achievements in his tenure as the constituency chairman is that he has been able to rent a party office for administrative day-to-day party activities. He said he has also been able to unite and bring unity into the party that is helping the party to increase votes in every election.

Mr Moro Issah, however, urged the Kwadaso delegates not to allow anyone to influence them with money but rather to support his third term since he worked hard, which has made the party more attractive in the constituency.

“When I was moving from house to house in the opposition era to convince people to vote for the NDC, that time I didn’t see any contender, but now that we are in power, contenders are in for my seat.” He added.
