Nine(9) leading members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have successfully filed nominations to Contest in the Ejisu parliamentary primaries slated for Saturday,13th April,2024.
After close of nomination on Thursday,4th April,2024,Six(6) males and Three (3) females had managed to submit their nomination forms to the Elections Committee.
The list of the Nine persons are:

Lawyer Portia Acheampong Abronye, wife of Bono Regional Chairman of NPP.

Abena Pokua Amoah, the Ashanti regional NPP Women’s Campaign Manager

Helena Mensah, the Presiding Member of the Ejisu Municipal Assembly

Mr Clinsman Karikari Mensah, the former Assembly Member for Onwe

The party has set Saturday,6th April,2024 to vet the prospective candidates.
The Ejisu Constituency Chairman,Mr Kofi Ampofo Agyapong advised all the parliamentary candidate hopefuls to conduct clean campaign devoid of personality attacks
According to him,there is the need for Unity after the primaries so as to enable them retain the seat in honour of the late Member of Parliament (MP),Hon.John Ampontuah Kumah.
