The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Offinso North Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah, has debunked alleged apathy among members of the party in the constituency.

“There is no human apathy in the constituency after the parliamentary primaries,” he asserted.

“We have all come together after the primaries, and we are working together as a team to ensure I retain the seat as the MP and ensure that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia wins the 2024 presidential election,” he added.

He made these statements during the inauguration of the party’s campaign team at Akomadan, the district capital, ahead of the 2024 elections, when he spoke to newsmen in an interview.

According to him, their focus is to work hard and win Election 2024 because they have used their eight years in government to reshape the foundation of the country.

“The country was in a bad shape when we took over in 2016 but through the hard work of the Nana Akufo-Addo and Bawumia-led administration, we have been able to clear all the bushes we inherited. Now, we have planted the seeds, and we are now nurturing them.

“We have to break the ‘8’ and see them grow for the benefit of Ghanaians and younger generations yet unborn,” he stressed.

He said this could be achieved through commitment and dedication on the part of NPP members, adding that NPP Offinso North is ready to work and break the ‘8’.

“We are already united in the constituency, so I’m pleading with all and sundry to come on board and join hands to win power for the NPP so that we can continue with ongoing projects and programmes for the betterment of Offinso North Constituency and Ghana at large,” he emphasised.

Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament, as part of measures to ensure peaceful 2024 elections, has organised a unity gala for the constituents in a bid to unearth the potentials of those who have a passion for source:By Foster Ayisah
