The first vice of NALAG, who doubles as the Presiding Member (PM) for Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Mr Patrick Kwame Frimpong, has been retained unopposed as the Dean of Conference of Presiding Members in the Ashanti region for another term.

The peaceful elections, which were supervised by the Electoral Commission (EC) and NALAG executives, were held on Friday, 7th August, 2026, at the Miklin Hotel in Kumasi to climax the 3-day annual conference.The following Presiding Members were elected to the executives of the Conference:Madam Helena Mensah, the Presiding Member for Ejisu Municipality, who is also the only female among the PMs, was also retained as Treasurer for another term.

On behalf of the newly elected executives, Mr Patrick Kwame Frimpong expressed their profound gratitude to the members for the confidence reposed in them.He called for their continued cooperation and collaborations as they work united in promoting the members’ welfare and ensuring the needed development in their respective assemblies.

Mr Frimpong indicated that his admission would continue to work in openness and respect for everyone and stressed the need for all members to continue to stay united.
