Helena Mensah, the Presiding Member (PM) for Ejisu Municipal Assembly and leading contender in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ejisu primary slated for Saturday,13th April 2024, has made a passionate appeal to the delegates of the party to vote for her to enable her to win the seat to continue the good works initiated by the late Member of Parliament (MP), Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah.

Helena Mensah, who has already been endorsed by the assembly members in Ejisu Municipal, as well as majority of delegates and key stakeholders, made the appeal on Thursday, 4th April 2024, after successfully filing her nomination to contest the primary.

She was accompanied by the assembly members, Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly PM, Patrick Kwame Frimpong, and a section of delegates to file her nomination at the NPP constituency office at Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.

According to her, being a PM of the Assembly and someone who follows the activities of the late MP, she knows what Dr. John Kumah was capable of doing and what he did to champion for development in the area.

“I’m aware of various applications our late MP had compiled to support needy, brilliant students to further their education which needs to be followed up,” she added.

Helena Mensah recalled that the late MP was committed to the improvement of road networks in the constituency which had not been tackled and when given the nod, she would continue from where John Kumah ended to ensure improvement of road networks in the area.

The parliamentary candidate maintained that she had been with the people of Ejisu, the party and the late MP and everyone knows who she is, and when given the mandate as NPP parliamentary candidate and subsequently become the next MP, she would never disappoint the constituents.

According to her, she has a lot of good things in her mind to implement to uplift the image of the Ejisu Constituency for the good of all the constituents.

She, therefore, appealed to the delegates to have trust in her and vote massively for her on 13th March 2024.

She also gave a firm assurance to maintain a vibrant Ejisu Youth group (The young Patriots) which was dear to the heart of the late MP and work together with them, among other stakeholders, to push for the necessary development for Ejisuman devoid of division.
