AN OPEN LETTER FROM OSU TO GHANA’S VICE PRESIDENT, DR. MAHAMUDU BAWUMIA

Dear Dr. Bawumia,

After you got trusted by the NPP internal leadership and was giving various platforms, you told a lot of fairy tales economic theories to the Ghanaian youth and went further to disrespect those who had gone ahead of you in the field economics like Amissah Arthur and co with no recourse to their past efforts.

Being it that you were telling lies or you were clueless and deceiving yourself that the task ahead was easy, you and your Allah has that answer. When some of us look back, we can only bow our heads in shame for believing those unrealistic things you were saying.

Now look at you and the kind of shame you have brought to yourself and the NPP. The worse of it, look at where we find ourselves as a nation. Nothing seems to be working in this country, as the finances of the government keeps crumbling under your leadership as the so-called Economic Messiah.

And, the most irritating bit is that you have no shame nor integrity to either apologize or stand down but rather to add more salt to injury, you are busily scheming behind close doors, inviting party officials to your office to convince them to support your selfish presidential ambition at a time the country is going through terrible economic challenges under your leadership as the head of the Economic Management Team.

Look, what the youth in this country need is fresh ideas from a visionary leader who can put forward programs to generate employment for the teeming unemployed graduates and not the likes of you who have had the opportunity to serve in the highest office of the land but couldn’t deliver to the satisfaction of the people.

You and your boss have seriously goofed just like how John Mahama goofed when he was given the opportunity to serve the country from 2012 to 2016.

The youth in this country need something new, not any repackaged or repainting stuff. They need quality leadership that breathe hope and confidence into our seemingly hopeless situation. They need someone who would provide them with decent jobs and future.

Dr. Bawumia, sincerely speaking, how do you feel when you watch those past lying videos of yours that are currently circulating on social media?

Don’t you think you owe the youth in this country some answers and apology? It’s quite irritating if you care to know, Mr. Vice President, that you are still scheming to lead this country after such abysmal performance as the head of the Economic Management Team!

Sincerely yours,
Citizen Attoh Quarshie
