The Ghanaian youth across the country, especially those in the Ashanti Region, have been called upon to rise against the continued insults by former President John Mahama and members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to desist from campaign of insults and personality attacks in their desperation to win power.
Dr.Francis Adomako aka Francois
The Ashanti Regional Organiser for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Francis Adomako, aka Francois, made the call on Saturday, 16th November 2024, following alleged insults and personality attacks on former President John Agyekum Kufuor, after his recent assertion that the Vice-President and 2024 NPP Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is the right person to lead the country.

According to Dr. Adomako, who doubles as the Dean of all Regional Organisers, the continuous insults by Mr. Mahama on chiefs, imams, nananom, Dr. Bawumia, President Akufo-Addo, among others, instead of campaigning on issues, have now emboldened NDC members, especially communicators, to rain insults to the extent of now targeting one of the renowned former Presidents of Africa and Ghana, H. E. J. A. Kufuor.

Francois said the supporters of the NDC had lost their moral and cultural values of according the elderly the needed respect due to their desperation for power.
“How on earth could these babies with sharp teeth decend on former President Kufuor for speaking his mind which is factual?” he asked.
According to him, they (NDC members and Mr. Mahama) have insulted President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia on several occasions.
Francois declared, “We won’t sit down for them to keep insulting our leaders. The time has come for the people of Ashanti to arise!”
He said considering the excellent track record of former President Kufuor, it is highly regrettable that former President Mahama and his NDC babies with sharp teeth, because of their desperation for power, would hide behind politics to insult everyone, especially those who disagree with them.
“I’m humbly appealing to all Ghanaians, especially eligible voters, that with a few days to Saturday, 7th December 2024, let’s stand against politics of insults and violence. Let’s all go out and vote massively against the NDC and its presidential candidate because they’ve nothing new to offer to ensure accelerated growth,” he said.
“Please, don’t allow yourselves to be deceived by the NDC to repeat the mistakes of 2008. Rather, let’s vote number one for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP parliamentary candidates for economic transformation,” he added.
