GHANA PORTS AND HABOURS AUTHORITY (GPHA) UNION EXECUTIVE STOP ALL VESSELS FROM TRANSACTING BUSINESS AT THE PORT

There is a serious demonstration ongoing at the Tema port now. GPHA workers are aggrieved of bad Working Conditions and Conditions of Service.

They are of the view that, you cannot pride yourself as a GPHA staff as it was some time back because things are down currently at the port, all the jobs meant for GPHA have been given to MPS and other foreigners.

The new Local Union Chairman: Emmanuel Arhin Young and his executives both Tema and Takoradi , have vowed to reverse the MPS-GPHA concession agreement signed in 2015 and its current negative impact on the workforce since June, 2019.

The GPHA workers have started the rioting now and are calling on all media personnels to be on high alert and do the needful at Tema Port now.
