The Member of Parliament (MP) for Atiwa
East Constituency in the Eastern region,Hon Abena Osei Asare
has officially launched Insurance Scheme for various groups in the area.
The MP who doubles as Deputy Finance Minister performed the launching on Thursday, 15th June 2023,
She said “I proudly launched the Abena Osei-Asare GOOD LIFE INSURANCE POLICY in collaboration with Donewell Life and RINGFENCE Insurance.This initiative aims to provide life insurance coverage to 665 individuals belonging to various groups within the Atiwa East Constituency”
The identified groups include:
- Constituency Executives
- Polling Station Executives
- Anyinam GPRTU Protoa Drivers Union
- Ahankrasu Drivers Union
- Akyem Skyere Drivers Union
- Papaye Cooperation Atiwa East
- Enyiresi Drivers Union
- Tailors and Dressmakers
- Hairdressers and Beauticians
- Auto Mechanics
The Good Life Insurance Policy is a customized package designed to cover four key areas:
- Death
- Permanent Disability
- Temporary Disability
- Critical Illness and Medical Expenses
This policy will exclusively benefit the aforementioned unions and groups.
The Atiwa East MP expressed her gratitude to the various groups for their invaluable contributions to the development of both the constituency and the nation.
She urged them to continue playing their part by fulfilling their tax obligations and promoting love, peace, and security in the constituency and the country as a whole.
According to hon.Abena Osei Asare,the launch marks the first phase and they have plans to expand the program and include additional groups in the future.
The MP said “I am delighted to see our long-held dream materialize, as we work together to protect the lives of our people.Let us rise together and continue striving for a better future”,she added
The event was graced by esteemed individuals including the Chief of Anyinam, Queen Mother of Moseaso, Hon. Jeff Konadu (NPP Eastern Regional Chairman), Hon. Twum Barimah (Eastern Regional Vice Chairman), Mr. Adamu Musah Raha (Eastern Regional Youth Organizer), Mr. Albert Nuamah (Atiwa East NPP Chairman), as well as the Managing Director and Executives from Donewell and Ringfence Insurance, and the Atiwa East Police Commander.
The occasion was filled with joy and excitement.
