Dr.Francis Adomako, an aspiring Ashanti Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has endorsed Odeneho Kwaku Appiah for the position of Ashanti Regional Chairman ahead of the party’s upcoming regional elections.

The NPP chairmanship race across the regions, particularly in the Ashanti Region, has gathered momentum, with Odeneho Kwaku Appiah — popularly known as COKA — emerging as a leading contender.

Dr Adomako, who said he has known Odeneho Appiah for more than 20 years, cited the chairman’s experience and long-standing service to the party as key reasons for his support.

“I have seen this man from afar and he has served as an organiser, assemblyman, financial secretary, among other roles at the grassroots level,” Dr Adomako said. “He is currently building a party office at Afigya Kwabre.”

According to him, Odeneho Appiah’s contributions to the party have influenced voters’ decisions in favour of the NPP.

“I have heard people say that because of Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, they would vote for the NPP,” he added.

Dr Adomako further took a swipe at one of the contenders, Kokofu, urging him to be forthright about his decision to contest.

“I urge the other contestant, Kokofu, to stop telling people that he was told to join the race,” he said. “That means he is undecisive, and I have never asked Kokofu to contest for regional chairman.”

He stressed that Odeneho Appiah remained the party’s best option for the Ashanti Regional Chairman position.

“Our surest bet for the Ashanti Regional Chairman position is Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah,” Dr Adomako added.
