STU final year student gives back to school

 

 

A final-year Higher National Diploma (HND) student of the Sunyani Technical University (STU), Henry Gyamfi, has donated four projectors and two giant screens to the Faculty of Business Management Studies of the university.

He was accompanied by five of his colleagues namely; Emmanuel Duah, Ebenezer Owusu, Addae Bernard, Emma Dumaschie and Juliana Adoma Attaa.

Mr. Henry Gyamfi, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Saveok Company Limited, one of the contractors working with Newmont Ahafo mine, explained that the donation formed part of the corporate social responsibility of his company.

He expressed the hope that the items donated will go a long way to boost academic activities in the faculty and the university in general.

The Vice-Chancellor of STU, Ing. Prof. Kwadwo Adinkrah-Appiah, thanked Mr. Gyamfi for his kind gesture and appealed to both present and past students to emulate this example.

Present at the presentation ceremony were the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Justice Solomon Korantwi-Barimah; the Dean of the Faculty of Business Management Studies, Dr. Christian Kyeremeh; the Head of Department of Secretaryship and Management Studies, Alex Ofori and the Head of the Department of Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Dr. Kwadwo Prempeh.
