SUBIN EXECUTIVES RALLY BEHIND JFK, PLEDGE MASSIVE SUPPORT FOR HIS RE-ELECTION

In a significant show of confidence from the home constituency of one of the General Secretary contenders from the Ashanti Region, executives of the Subin Constituency have openly declared their support for the re-election of NPP General Secretary, Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong (JFK).

The declaration came during JFK’s campaign engagement with constituency executives from the Kumasi enclave in the Ashanti Region, where the Subin Constituency Women’s Organiser, Madam Ama Konadu Boateng, speaking in the presence of her colleague executives, pledged their unflinching and massive support for JFK.

For the Subin executives, their decision is anchored on one simple principle: good work deserves another mandate.

Madam Boateng drew a powerful parallel with her own political journey, explaining that the people of Subin retained her as Women’s Organiser because they had seen and appreciated her work. In the same spirit, she said, JFK deserves to be retained because the Party has experienced his leadership, humility and reforms firsthand.

“We know your works, we have tasted your humility, and your reforms have injected new life into the Party. You have shown leadership at a time when the Party needed a leader with emotional intelligence. We shall retain you as General Secretary, and nothing can change that.”

She noted that the reforms undertaken under JFK’s leadership are already bearing fruit, energising the grassroots, strengthening the Party’s structures and restoring confidence among its rank and file.

The declaration carries added political significance because Subin is the home constituency of former MP and General Secretary aspirant, Mr Eugene Boakye Antwi. Yet, for the executives who spoke at the engagement, the contest must ultimately be decided by performance, temperament and the leadership the NPP needs for the difficult task ahead.

Their message to delegates across the Ashanti Region and the country was unmistakable: this is not the time to gamble with the gains already made or introduce a new learning curve at the Party headquarters.

With the NPP rebuilding towards the 2028 general elections, they believe the Party requires a General Secretary who understands its structures, listens to its grassroots, can build consensus in difficult moments and has demonstrated the emotional intelligence to hold the Party together.

For them, JFK has been tested in office — and his record provides a compelling case for continuity.

From Subin, the message was clear: reward good work, retain tested leadership and keep JFK at post to help rebuild a stronger, united and battle-ready NPP for victory in 2028.
