Some leading members of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), in the Sekyere South Municipality, have expressed their displeasure in the way and manner some NDC party leadership in the Ashanti Region, are scheming to turn down the idea of, Mr. Wallas Ababio of becoming the next Municipal Chief Executive(MCE) of the Sekyere South Municipal.

According the members, the Ashanti Regional chairman of the NDC, Mr. Augustus Nana Akwasi, must step in to avert such a shameful and dishonoring behaviour against the good people of Jamasi.

“We cannot understand the sudden turn of event of removing Uncle Wallas name from the shortlisted applicants after his exemplary commitment and dedication to the party over the years,” they stated.

“He is our one and only applicant from Jamasi, and we will sit aloof for other candidates from Agona and Wiamoase to be crowned as the next MCE, as it has always be,” they added.

Moreover, some of the members of the Jamasi Zongo community, threatened to stage a demonstration against the decision of the party if Mr. Wallas Ababio, is not presented for consideration. Others on the other hand pleaded with President Dramani Mahama to heed to their calls and name Mr. Wallas Ababio as the Sekyere South Municipal Chief Executive(MCE) as a reward for his long service and dedication to the NDC party.
