On June 17, 2026, a gas explosion incident occurred at the digital address AS-093-1361 Asawasi-Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

The victim of this gas explosion incident is a 40-year-old man named Farouk Adebisi, who was rushed to the Manhyia District Government Hospital after suffering from burns on his right hand and both feet during the explosion incident.

Consequently, the explosion is reported to have been started by three individuals, including a female suspect, as revealed by the CCTV footage in the house.

The suspects had sneaked into the building and moved to the kitchen area to set up the explosion using the kitchen gas cylinders.

The key suspect in the footage was a female identified to be Farida Issah, who was an ex-lover or lesbian partner of the victim’s wife.

The female suspect had previously vowed to make sure she eliminates both the victim and his wife, Libabatu Mohammed, who is out of the country now.

It is established and known that Farida Issah (suspect) had previously been involved in the same sexual relationship with the victim’s wife (Libabatu Mohammed).

As a result, there’s been persecution out of jealousy by the suspect to harm the victim and his wife or their kids anywhere she can locate them.

In addition, the Ghana Police Service had taken along the CCTV footage for further investigations to help arrest individual suspects, as at the time of filing this report, no suspect has been arrested.

Currently, the victim is responding to treatments sustained during the explosion.
