With barely a month to the December 7 general election, Mr. Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the Spokesperson for the campaign team of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, including the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MASLOC and some free SHS graduates on Thursday, 31st October 2024, invaded Kejetia with “It is possible” campaign.
They moved from shop to shop educating traders on why they should vote massively for Dr. Bawumia, who is number one on the ballot, on December 7.
They also used the opportunity to share NPP paraphernalia as traders, head-porters and shoppers scrambled for more NPP T-shirts from different corners.
Some scenes from the event
Addressing a huge crowd in front of the Kejetia Market later, Mr. Aboagye expressed the profound gratitude of the NPP to Asanteman, especially the traders, for the massive support.
He reminded the traders and the shoppers of the need for them, including all first-time voters, who are also free SHS graduates, to go out and vote massively for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP to protect the Free SHS policy.
Besides, he accused former President John Mahama, the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), of being a threat to the Free SHS policy.
He said Ghanaians should never make a mistake to return the NDC to power. Aside from the implementation of the Free SHS programme, he enumerated some of the achievements of the NPP government in the Ashanti Region, such as road construction.
On his part, the Deputy MASLOC CEO, who is also the patron of free SHS graduates and first-time voters, Mr. Kwabena Asamoah, entreated the electorate to go out on Saturday, 7th December 2024, to vote number one for Dr. Bawumia for the sake of their children and grandchildren’s education in the future
According to him, education is the bedrock of every developed country and the Akufo-Addo/ Bawumia administration has done massively well, for which reason it truly deserve more years to continue with the good works for the betterment of all.
Popularly known in the political space as Obidombie, Mr Asamoah, therefore, cautioned Ghanaians, especially first-time voters and traders in the Ashanti Region, not to allow themselves to be deceived by Mr. Mahama.
“Let’s go out and vote massively to protect free SHS,” he stressed.
