The National Sports Authority is sad to learn about the death of Ghanaian player,Christian Atsu whose body was recovered from the rubble  following the Turkey earthquake that occurred on Monday, February 6,2023 according to release from Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.

Atsu,who emerged the overall best player of the 2015 AFCON tournament in Equatorial Guinea,contributed immensely to Ghana sports and will be forever remain in our hearts for the beautiful memories he gave Ghanaians.

We pray to Almighty God that his wife,children, the family and the entire football and sports community find comfort in his difficult movement.
May his soul Rest in Peace!
