Recognizing Kofi Job and Dr. Esther Gyebi as national assets: A Testament to their Philanthropic efforts

In a nation where healthcare, education, and economic development are paramount, the contributions of Mr. Kofi Job and his wife, Dr. Esther Gyebi, cannot be overstated.

As the founders of the Kofi Job Foundation, they have made an indelible mark on Ghana’s economic sector, particularly in the areas of health, education, employment, infrastructure, and religion.

Transforming Healthcare in the Ashanti Region

One of their most notable achievements is the donation of over GH¢3 million to five major hospitals in the Ashanti Region, including the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Suntreso Government Hospital, Kumasi South Hospital, Tafo Government Hospital, and the Manhyia District Hospital.

These funds enabled the hospitals to purchase essential equipment, such as incubators, Sepap machines, and firefly machines, which were previously lacking.

The impact of their donation is evident in the lives of the patients and families who have benefited from their generosity.

For instance, the Manhyia District Hospital, which previously had no incubators, can now provide critical care to mothers and preterm babies.

Similarly, the Suntreso Government Hospital’s mother and baby unit has received ten brand-new Sepap machines, which support the breathing process of preterm babies.

Supporting Individual Patients and Families

In addition to their institutional donations, Mr. Kofi Job and Dr. Esther Gyebi have also provided financial support to individual patients and families who were struggling to pay hospital bills.

Through the Kofi Job Foundation, they have settled the bills of over 1,000 patients in the last six months, bringing relief to both the patients and the hospitals.

Bringing Hope to Cancer Patients

At the Kumasi South Hospital, two young children suffering from childhood cancer had lost hope due to the high cost of surgery, estimated at over GH¢100,000.

However, their fortunes changed when Mr. Kofi Job and his wife, Dr. Esther Gyebi, visited them at the facility.

Through the Kofi Job Foundation, the children received a generous donation of GH¢120,000 to cover all expenses related to their treatment.

This selfless act rekindled hope for the families of these children, who had previously given up due to the financial burden.

The Kofi Job Foundation’s intervention has not only brought relief to these families but has also underscored the organization’s commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals in their time of need.

Impact on Education

The Kofi Job Foundation’s impact extends beyond healthcare.

In the education sector, they have provided scholarships to dozens of needy students across the country.

One notable example is the scholarship awarded to Maybel Acheampong, a home science student at Presbyterian Technical School in the Ashanti Region.

The foundation provided her with an instant support of GH¢20,000 and a full scholarship to the tertiary level.

Impact o Social Protection

Furthermore, the foundation has also made a significant impact on social protection in Ghana, particularly in supporting the aged.

In December 2024, they provided support to over 1,000 widows and needy individuals, spending over GH¢6 billion (old cedis) in the process.

This gesture brought joy and relief to many aged individuals who had no support during the festive season.

A Call to Recognition

In light of their remarkable contributions to Ghana’s development, it is imperative that Mr. Kofi Job and Dr. Esther Gyebi are recognized as national assets.

Their selfless dedication to improving the lives of Ghanaians is a testament to their commitment to the nation’s growth and prosperity.

As such, it is essential that their good works are acknowledged and supported, inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.
