Hon. Collins Ntim
Regional Campaign Coordinator
On behalf of the Liason Officer and the Regional Chairman of the party in the Ashanti Region
I rounded off an insightful three days of engaging with our Constituency Executives, Regional Council of Elders and other stakeholders in the Ashanti Region on Friday as I seek the mandate of the Party for the 2028 elections.
I emphasized the compelling reasons for which I should be retained by our Party, including my proven track record of innovative thinking and care for the ordinary Ghanaian.
While reaffirming my commitment to a united party, I called on all delegates to cast their votes on January 31, 2026 for the most Prepared, Formidable and Winnable candidate: Dr Mahamudu Bawumia
The Accra Circuit Court has remanded the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye, into prison custody after he was arraigned today on charges of offensive conduct conducive to the breach of public peace and publication of false news.
The complainant in the case is the Ghana Police Service. Abronye will return to court on September 19.
The Ghana Police Service, in a statement issued on Monday, September 8, confirmed that Abronye had been arrested last week and held in custody ahead of his court appearance.
Although the Police did not disclose details of the conduct that led to his arrest, the outspoken politician has recently attracted widespread public attention.
Before now, he had filed for asylum in eight countries, comprising the United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Canada, Spain, Germany, and Côte d’Ivoire, alleging political persecution and threats to his life.
As part of the investigations, Police officers also searched the residence of former NPP Youth Organiser Moses Abor on Sunday, but did not find Abronye there at the time. The case will return to court on September 19.Source: Ernest K. Arhinful
To all coordinators of Ken’s campaign team in Ghana and abroad;
Be careful not to be complacent.
This is because complacency may be deceitful and you may be too sure you have already won the elections.
Learn to work in the political spirit of unity and avoid self-interest.
Whatever financial assistance, people donate through you or your team, please make sure that it’s officially known to Honorable Kennedy and his top leadership, so that they will reach those people for their appreciation and recognition.
Kennedy Ohene Agyapong
Please do not over depend on prophecies even if the prophecy is perfect and true.
The unity of the campaign team, will depend on the chairmen and coordinators.
Thanks for reading my political articles.

From: Apostle Paul Kofi Agyekum.
The 2024 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has appealed to party delegates to maintain him as flagbearer to secure what he described as a swift return to the Jubilee House.
Addressing delegates at Adansi Asokwa in the Ashanti Region on Wednesday, September 10, Dr Bawumia argued that Ghana’s electoral history demonstrates the benefits of consistency in presidential candidate selection.
He noted that since the advent of the Fourth Republic, every outgoing president had handed over power to a candidate they had previously contested against in the election.
Citing precedents from both the NPP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), he explained: “In 1996, the NPP presented former President John Agyekum Kufuor, who obtained 39 per cent of the vote. The party presented him again in 2000, and he won.”
“The late President Prof John Evans Atta Mills secured 43 per cent in 2000, 44 per cent in 2004, and was presented again in 2008, when he finally won. Former President Akufo-Addo was presented in 2008 and 2012 without success, but when presented again in 2016, he won. President Mahama lost in 2016 and 2020 but was retained in 2024, and he won. This shows clearly that maintaining faith with a candidate pays off.”
He added that the NPP could secure victory in 2028 if it contests with a united front, stressing that no first-time candidate has ever won a presidential election in Ghana.
“The trend shows that maintaining faith with a candidate is very beneficial, especially after years of investment in marketing him. I am the most marketed, most prepared and most winnable candidate among all the aspirants. My character, temperament and unifying nature are well known. I urge you to vote for me on 31 January 2026, to secure the gains of consistency,” he told delegates.
Dr Bawumia made the remarks at the start of a three-day engagement with constituency executives in the Ashanti Region, ahead of a nationwide campaign in the build-up to the party’s flagbearer contest.

President John Mahama has dismissed suggestions that he intends to use his current tenure to push constitutional amendments that would allow him to run for a third term as president.
Speaking at the Presidential Media Encounter at the Jubilee House on Wednesday, Mr Mahama laughed off the speculation, joking: “Look in my face, do I look like a supreme leader?”
His response came after questions were raised about whether his so-called “legacy term” would embolden him to seek an extension of Ghana’s presidential term limits.
President John Mahama
“That is, to paraphrase Prof Atta Mills, do I look like a cat Hunter? Do I look like a supreme leader? I’m a Democrat, through and through. And even when we attained two-thirds of Parliament, I said that we are not going to use it to ride roughshod over the minority, and that we are going to give opportunity for democracy to flourish. And so we know we intend to use that two-thirds majority to steamroll our democracy.”
The 1992 Constitution restricts presidents to a maximum of two four-year terms.
He reiterated his commitment to constitutional democracy, adding that attempts to weaken institutions for political gain undermine Ghana’s democratic progress.Source: Kenneth Awotwe Darko
A member of Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign strategy team, Dr Stephen Amoah, has expressed confidence that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will return to power in the 2028 elections under the leadership of the former Assin Central MP and presidential aspirant.
Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem, Dr Amoah acknowledged the party’s heavy defeat in the 2024 polls, but stressed the need for restructuring and reforms to reposition the NPP for victory in the next elections.
“After losing the elections, we are still in the process of re-configuring the party. We have admitted our defeat, and now we need to analyse why we lost so we can make the necessary adjustments. The NPP will surely bounce back, and we will win the 2028 elections under Kennedy Agyapong,” he said.
Mr,Kennedy Agyapong Dr Stephen Amoah
He praised Mr Agyapong’s track record, insisting that his contributions to national development and lack of corruption scandals make him the right candidate to lead Ghana.
According to him, Agyapong is the only aspirant with a clearly defined grassroots-focused initiative, which he believes will energise the party’s base ahead of 2028.
“It’s not about propaganda; the NPP is better than the NDC. Kennedy Agyapong has no incidents of corruption and has done a lot for the country using his own money. So, what makes us think he can’t lead the country? he asked.
For us, it’s about performance, not propaganda, and it is Kennedy Agyapong’s time. He is the only candidate with a well-defined policy specifically for activists and grassroots members, known as Ken’s Grassroots and Welfare Policy,” Dr Amoah added.Source: Farida Seidu
Deputy Protocol Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Frimpong, has mounted a strong defense of Hon. Abena Osei-Asare, Member of Parliament for Atiwa East and former Deputy Minister for Finance, following recent attacks on her contributions to the party.
In a passionate statement, Mr. Frimpong described as “laughable and dishonest” claims that Hon. Osei-Asare, has not done enough for the party. He noted that, her track record of support and empowerment for NPP faithfuls across the country is well documented and widely acknowledged.
Kwabena Frimpong & Hon. Abena Osei-Asare
According to him, Hon. Osei-Asare has created countless job opportunities for young party members, extended financial and educational support, and helped many patriots secure positions of dignity and influence. “She has changed lives and destinies of families across the country. If I were to list the people Hon. Abena Osei-Asare has supported and the regions they come from, many would be amazed at the results,” he stressed.
Mr. Frimpong added that unlike those who “make noise,” Hon. Osei-Asare works quietly but effectively, ensuring her impact is felt where it matters most. He described her as a “Destiny Changer” and “Obaatanpa” who has been a lifeline for many within the NPP.
He cautioned party members against joining propaganda aimed at tarnishing the image of key NPP leaders for the sake of internal politics, especially ahead of the 2028 elections. “These are the very people who will be leading us into 2028. If we destroy their image today, who will carry us to victory tomorrow?” he asked.
Mr. Frimpong also accused the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), with support from state security, of deliberately targeting NPP dignitaries in an attempt to weaken the party. He urged members to remain united, disciplined, and respectful of their own leaders.
🔥 ENOUGH OF THE PROPAGANDA AGAINST HON. ABENA OSEI-ASARE! 🔥
It is laughable and frankly dishonest for anyone to ask “what has Abena Osei-Asare done for the party?” The records are clear, and the testimonies of countless NPP faithful speak louder than propaganda.
👉 This is a woman who has created jobs and opportunities for party members across the country, not just Atiwa East.
👉 she has changed lives and destinies of families through the numerous job opportunities accorded party young guys
👉 From education support, business assistance, and employment facilitation, she has lifted many young people and loyal patriots into positions of dignity and influence.
👉 Unlike the loud talkers, Abena works quietly, effectively, and delivers results where it matters most, not for the vindictive nature of the current NDC government,I will would listed people Obaatanpa Hon Abena Osei-Asare has helped across the country and which regions they hail from, you would have been amazed at the results.
Those who are peddling lies must understand: Obaatanpa Hon. Abena Osei-Asare the Destiny Changer was not just a Deputy Minister; she has been a lifeline to many within the party who today can boldly say “she has made them whom they are today”
Instead of spreading baseless attacks, let us celebrate a woman whose impact goes far beyond her constituency. The party needs doers like her, not talkers and Abena Osei-Asare is a proven DOER!
Let us be mindful of the propaganda and the things we say about our own dignitaries within the party because of a Presidential primaries. These are the very people who will be leading us into the 2028 elections. If we destroy their image today, which people would carry us to victory tomorrow?
Already, the NDC with the support of state security apparatus is doing everything possible to dent the reputation of our key leaders with useless arrest. We, as a party, must not join in that agenda. The words and attacks we throw today can go a long way to hurt us in the future.Unity, discipline, and respect for our own are the only paths to secure victory in 2028.
The Ashanti Regional Organiser for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who doubles as the Dean of all Regional Organisers, Dr. Francis Adomako, aka Francois, has called on all constituency, regional and national officers of the party to stay neutral in the run-up to the flagbearer election on 31st January 2025.
According to him, to ensure fairness and a smooth way of bringing everyone on board for the 2028 general election, there is the need for all constituency, regional and national executives across the country to be neutral.
Some scenes from the ceremony
“All the flagbearer hopefuls are supposed to meet the delegates through the regional and constituency executives before reaching out to the polling stations and electoral area coordinators. If we, who are the executives, do not stay neutral in the contest, how can we be trusted to be fair to all the aspirants?” he asked rhetorically.
He stressed that without unity and togetherness, it would be difficult for anyone to emerge as flagbearer to lead the party to unseat the NDC. “We, therefore, need to do things which can bring us together before, during and after the presidential primary…” he added.
The Ashanti Regional NPP Organiser made the call in an interview with the media during the Bekwai Constituency Delegates’ Congress which was held at Amoafo Pentecost Church on Friday, 5th September 2025.
Several well-known individuals graced the occasion, such as Hon. Raph Poku Aduse Esq, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bekwai Constituency; Hon. Anthony Meah Esq, MP for Odotobri, Kingsley Nana Bonsu-Kyeretwie Esq, Second Chairman of the Manhyia South Constituency; Hon. Joseph Osei Wusu (Joe Wise), former Bekwai MP and the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong Esq, also urged the delegates to offer support and encouragement for the ongoing development in the constituency.
Party executives, delegates and other dignitaries came together at the congress to discuss important issues concerning the party’s future and the constituency.
The excitement and solidarity in the air demonstrated the group’s dedication to strengthen the party’s support base in the run-up to the election.
Besides, Francois called on all the flagbearer hopefuls and their supporters to abide by the guidelines for the election and do a decent campaign devoid of personality attacks and name-calling.
“I wish to appeal to all the flagbearer hopefuls to tell the delegates of NPP what they’re capable of doing should they be given the mandate to lead the party as presidential candidate, instead of insults and other strategies which don’t promote unity and cohesion,” he added.
