In a deliberate effort to ensure maximum unity within the Party in the Ejisu constituency in the Ashanti Region ahead of the 2024 elections, the Chairman of the Ashanti Region Reconciliation Team, Amb. Edward Boateng, on Saturday, August 17th, 2024, held a crucial meeting with former constituency party executives in Ejisu.
The gathering, facilitated by Ing. Dr. Kwame Agyeman-Budu, aimed at fostering unity while enhancing effective collaboration among the leadership of the party and members in the region.

The meeting also served as a follow-up to the recent engagement with Hon. Ing. Kwabena Owusu-Aduomi last week, where similar concerns were raised.
In attendance at the all-important meeting was the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Ejisu constituency, Hon. Kwabena Boateng (Esq), who doubles as the party’s Parliamentary Candidate, a positive step signaling a collective commitment to strengthening party structures for victory in December.
Key issues discussed included the recognition of the importance of peacebuilding, cohesion, and teamwork within the Party in the Ejisu constituency in the Ashanti Region.
To the Chairman of the committee, there is an urgent need for all members to work together towards a common goal, particularly as the party prepares for the upcoming electoral activities. He emphasized that “A team divided in war struggles,” passionately calling for cooperation and understanding to ensure that victory is within reach.
The Reconciliation Team continues to work tirelessly to ensure that all party members in the region are united and focused on the task ahead.
Amb. Edward Boateng assured attendees that more such engagements will be organized to maintain momentum and resolve any lingering conflicts within the party.

The DMB manifesto, which was launched on Sunday,18th August,2024, is full of ideas, and the future of the Ghanaian youth is brighter, so let’s give him the chance to govern Ghana in the year 2025
. The promises are possible. Vote Dr. Bawumia in the 7th December election. Coka, l care
Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has reiterated his commitment to fulfilling all promises made to Ghanaians as part of his agenda to move the country forward.
Speaking at a manifesto launch of the party in the Western Region on Sunday, August 18, Dr. Bawumia assured the public that, if given the mandate in the upcoming 2024 elections, he would ensure the implementation of policies that drive economic growth and development.

Dr. Bawumia emphasised that his vision for Ghana is centered on creating opportunities for all citizens, particularly the youth.
He noted that key initiatives, including digital transformation, infrastructure development, and job creation, would be prioritized to improve the quality of life for Ghanaians.
The Vice President also highlighted that under his leadership, the country would continue to invest in education and healthcare to build a resilient society.
Dr Bawumia further assured the crowd that every pledge he made during his campaign was carefully considered to address the pressing challenges facing the nation.
He stressed that his administration would focus on maintaining fiscal discipline, fighting corruption, and promoting accountability in government to restore confidence in public institutions.
Dr. Bawumia acknowledged the economic difficulties that Ghanaians have faced in recent years but expressed optimism that, with the right leadership, the country can turn the corner.
He pledged to work closely with various stakeholders, including the private sector, traditional leaders, and civil society organizations, to ensure that all development plans are effectively implemented.
Dr. Bawumia thus called on Ghanaians to trust in his leadership and give him the opportunity to deliver on his promises.
He reiterated that with dedication and hard work, his administration would steer the country toward prosperity and secure a better future for generations to come.
“Indeed, we have listed them to show that we remain committed to fulfilling the social contract we have with the good people of Ghana.”
“Above all, this exercise confirms that hundreds of pledges have been made to the Ghanaian people, and broadly, they have been kept, and given the opportunity, more impactful and forward looking interventions will be implemented to move Ghana to the next level of the development journey; a journey that will build on our successes to open opportunities for all,” he said
The running mate of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, says his flagbearer is not a corrupt person and has maintained a spotless record throughout his public career.
According to him, Dr Bawumia has never faced accusations or investigations related to corruption.
Speaking at the NPP manifesto launch on August 18, he said “In his public life, he has never been accused of corruption and in his public life. He has never been investigated for corruption. I am sure and certain that you are giving an honourable man a chance to continue. No matter what the naysayers say, he is not corrupt. He has never been accused of corruption and he has never been investigated and will never be corrupt.”
Napo and Bawumia
According to Napo, those with questionable pasts who believe they have won the elections should be wary, as Dr Bawumia is set to win the December 7 general and presidential elections.
“We will fight from room to room, house to house, village to village, community to community, that never again will we have dumsor. Never again will money be the determinant of how much education level you will achieve.”
“Surely the day of accountability is coming straight to some of them who have skeletons in their cupboards. I promise that we will work and deliver a better Ghana for legacy purposes.”
In addition, Mr Prempeh described Dr Bawumia as a man of vision and mission to turn the economy around.
“He is humble but he is firm. He is respectful, honest and loyal. He is the problem solver and handworker. He is a man of integrity and destined to take Ghana to the next level,” he said.Source: Emmanuella Sarfo-Ntow
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer’s running mate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has accused the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) of misleading voters with false promises about improving the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
According to him, during the 2016 general elections, the NDC pledged to enhance the NHIS if it won the election, but this promise was a complete deception.
In 2016, the NDC said that when they come, they will reinstate one-time insurance. What President Mills did, they said they would improve it. Am I lying? But when they came and President Mills implemented the one-time insurance, people started dying because there’s no such thing as one-time insurance in the world.
Some scenes from the health walk.
Speaking at the NPP’s health walk in Takoradi on Saturday, August 17, ahead of the party’s manifesto launch on Sunday, Dr Prempeh claimed that the NDC used deceptive tactics to win the 2008 elections.
He likened Ghanaians to the behaviour of the Israelites, saying Ghanaians often ignore advice until it is too late.
Dr Prempeh also argued that Ghanaians should not have voted against NPP’s former President Kufuor, given the work he did for the country.
In 2008, 2010, and 2015, Ghanaians started dying and began calling on God. We Ghanaians are behaving like the Israelites; we don’t heed advice, and when God leaves us for a while, we turn to the wrong paths. The work that President Kufuor did, Ghanaians should not have voted against the NPP.
He further criticised the NDC for initially dismissing the NPP’s Free Senior High School (SHS) policy, stating that they claimed they would not have used GH₵2 billion for Free SHS.
This, Dr Prempeh pointed out that the same NDC now claims to have initiated the Free SHS policy.
Today, you hear them saying they were the ones who started the policy. If you were the ones who began the policy, would you have said that even with 2 billion Ghana cedis, you wouldn’t use it for Free SHS? Dr Prempeh asked.Source: Prince Adu-Owusu
The Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency in the Ashanti Region has witnessed a remarkable display of energy and enthusiasm as the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, stormed the constituency to embark on a door-to-door campaign for His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s flagbearer.
Screenshots from the videos of Chairman Wontumi’s tour
During his tour, Chairman Wontumi, who is usually mobbed by large crowds,
engaged with various segments of society, including Nananom, religious leaders, youth groups, traders and market women.
He visited bustling market centres at Barekese, Asuofia-Asamang and Koforidua, embarked on a door-to-door campaign, and engaged directly with the people in the streets and their homes.
First video attached below;
Chairman Wontumi inspected some projects in the constituency, including an Agenda 111 project at Barekese and the John Agyekum Kufuor TVET Centre at Daaban.
Chairman Wontumi’s tour has clearly energised the party’s grassroots for the December 2024 elections. This is a testament to his unwavering dedication and commitment to the party’s target of securing 85% of the votes in the Ashanti Region.
The atmosphere at Makola Market was truly electric. The energy was incredible as I interacted with both entrepreneurs and shoppers, all of whom passionately agreed that our country needs to change direction. It was uplifting to see such widespread concern and commitment to a better Ghana.
In our conversations, I assured them that their votes will be protected, highlighting the significance of their voices in shaping our nation’s future.
Together, we can create a path toward progress and prosperity. Hearing their stories and aspirations was truly inspiring, and I left the market feeling even more motivated to work for the change we all want. Let’s continue to unite and work towards building the Ghana we want!

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has raised concerns about the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) decision on a peace declaration before the December 7 general election.
The NDC’s National Chairman, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has been quoted to have said his leadership “won’t sign peace declaration ahead of elections” in an interview with Joy News’ current affairs programme, PM Express, on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
The NDC’s stance, according to the NPP is “worrying”.
They, however, called on the National Peace Council to act swiftly on their decision.
A statement from the NPP and signed by its General Secretary Justin Kodia Frimpong suggests the NDC is “beating the drums of war” and “preparing the minds of their supporters to reject the outcome of the 2024 general elections, foreseeing their inevitable loss.”
Members of the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) at BAREKESE, in the Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency confirmed public held perception of deep cracks within the opposition party, as they joined the NPP Regional chairman to campaign in the constituency for the NPP.
In a show of open defiance of party orders, the NDC members in their numbers took to the streets of BAREKESE, capital of the Atwima Nwabiagya North, to campaign, sharing the same platform, much to the dismay of their leaders who stood helplessly.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, on Friday,16th August,2024 touched base with the party at the constituency level, with the Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency being the first to be visited as part of a regional tour.
At the heart of BAREKESE township, the NDC members, who had gathered in front of their campaign office and dawning their party colours instantly mobbed the NPP Regional chairman and his entourage who were engaging the people in the BAREKESE town.

Livid by the sight of the event, the NDC leadership who were present at the office tried to discourage it members from jumping on the campaign train of their rival, but the adamant members had already found their way and chanting to the various NPP campaign songs.
It remains , therefore, to be seen of the fate of those NDC members by their leadership, but the ecstatic NDC supporters seemed not worried, rather they were seen at various lorry stations, homes of constituents doing the bidding of the NPP together with the chairman Wuntumi.
The party chairman, affectionately called Chairman Wontumi, is on a mission to revitalise the base of the party, restore hope and confidence among NPP members and the general electorates.
At the constituency, the Regional chairman will first hold meetings with the leadership of the party in the constituency, including: the current Member of Parliament, Parliament Candidate, DCE, Electoral Area Coordinators, Assembly members among others.
He will later inspect ongoing road projects in the constituency, embark on door to door to interact with the core of the ele torates.
Osofo Kwaku Amponsah, has asked the Assin Central Legislator, Kennedy Agyapong to contest the upcoming presidential election unaffiliated.
According to the preacher man, Kennedy Agyapong has better competences and expertise to turn the economic fortunes of Ghana around.
In an article beneath, Osofo Amponsah states in a copious manner his reasons for asking the maverick politician to contest the December 7 poll as independent minded candidate.
Ghanas Election Prophecy: Ken Must Stand
Breaking the Cycle: Embracing Change for Progress
Our current socio-economic struggles transcend the actions and inactions of individuals like Akufo-Addo, Mahama, or Bawumia.
The core of most of our challenges is woven into the fabric of the very structures of our political system, especially at the party level. Any candidate who emerges as president from this current party political framework is already compromised, indebted, and bound to the obligations of the kingmakers.
These kingmakers prioritize personal agendas over national welfare. They are the same people who are appointed to key positions in respective governments, not for their expertise and competence but for their loyalties.
Appointees from such backgrounds feel entitled and end up abusing and undermining the very institutions they serve. Without independent systems to check such abuses, it depends on the president to direct resources to bring such people to book.
However, as the Akan adage goes, obi y3 wo papa a, na wa hawo (whoever favours you in any small way ends up becoming your pain). How does the president do this without being considered ungrateful to the very people who helped them ascend?
The solution lies with a focused, honest, firm person who emerges from outside the political system without such obligations. That is how we begin to crawl and learn to walk as a nation. Doing so will require everyone to make some amount of sacrifice.
These are critical times for critical actions. Irrespective of our political leanings, we must embrace a spirit of unity and sacrifice for the greater good of Ghana. This is not just a choice but a noble commitment to our beloved country future.
Continuous insights and revelations have compellingly pointed to the Honourable Ken Agyapong as the ideal visionary capable of taking this role and setting the platform for future development.
In less than a month, the electoral commission will open nominations for registration, and KEN MUST STAND. He must also choose by leaving the party that he so much loves for the sake of our nation. Again, each one of us must make some sacrifices to realize this revelation.
What Must Change
The only way out is for Ken Agyapong, unaffiliated, to represent the departure from the repetitive cycles of political dysfunction that have resulted from conventional party politics we are all familiar with.
What will this approach help Ken do differently?
We all wish for Ghana to be like other developed nations. Which other candidate has the same level of exposure to what works in developed countries as Ken Agyapong?
We complain about job shortages. Which candidate has created more jobs than Ken?
We lament the high cost of import duties. Other than Ken, which candidate imports goods and understands these challenges first-hand?
We bemoan high production costs. Which candidate produces goods for export or local consumption and understands these struggles? Only Ken does.
We complain about ex-gratia, monies paid out every four years. Who else could we trust to genuinely commit to ending these pay-outs?
We want constitutional changes. Whose promises can we trust more than Kens?
All parties have criticized the number of ministers at one point, yet each has increased the number when in power. What makes us think this will change? Ken will not be obliged to give jobs to the boys. The national purse will be secured.
Whether NPP or NDC, disregarding our challenges, the next two years will be the usual blame game politics. Ken will set the agenda straight right from day one.
Kennedy Ohene Agyepong
Which past or present government truly delivered value for the money invested by our nation? Ken Agyapong has the potential to bring a much-needed shift, ensuring that public expenditures align more closely with those in the private sector, enhancing efficiency and transparency in how our national resources are utilized.
We have repeatedly appointed individuals for their loyalty and affiliation. Similar to how he employs competent people to work, Ken should apply the same rigorous standards to assemble a team of the most capable individuals to head and manage the various ministries.
Political manifestos have increasingly become generic to what the people must hear. Appointees often disregard them in their duties or, worse, do not know their existence. Ken Agyapong doesnt need a traditional manifesto; instead, he must set a clear agenda for each department and ministry. Prospective appointees would then be required to submit detailed action plans as part of their application to deliver real, measurable results for the office.
Despite substantial investments in the nations education, the frequent shifts in education policies with each government have hindered the consistent achievement of educational standards.
We will need Ken to constitute a bipartisan and key stakeholder committee to develop a thought-through educational policy that cannot be discarded or altered by any single government without broad consensus.
Ghana faces a significant challenge with widespread indiscipline and lawlessness, leaving law-abiding citizens as victims. This lack of accountability and irresponsibility is at the heart of corrupt practices and abuses across many institutions.
We grow with a mentality that the laws do not work. Rather than focusing on digitization and a 24-hour economy, Ken Agyapong must prioritize holding everyone from the top echelons of power to the grassroots accountable for their actions.
Why do we continue to repeat the same actions and yet expect different outcomes?
If you believe that this is what will propel Ghanas development and Ken has what it takes to get these done, then join the movement to get Ken to stand and compete.
Note this, Ken must not leave the NPP out of frustration or anger but because he is called to do so. This will ensure his allegiance remains with the people. While Ken may not be perfect, we can trust him to strive towards the promises he makes.
