“His 3rd defeat is coming and it will not be made possible by violence but the excellent performance and policies of NPP”.
According to him, Ghanaians have seen the number of interventions rolled out by the NPP, coupled with the level of humility which is on display by members and executives of the elephant party.
“For the coming election, NPP is the only alternative.
NDCs did not help Ghana when they were in power and until now they have no policy statement that is piercing to convince Ghanaians”.

The participants were trained in how to make soap, shower gel, liquid soap, haircream, etc.
The training, which forms part of the PC’s free apprenticeship programme, is geared towards equipping the participants, especially the unemployed youth, with skills for them to be self-employed.
So far, over 500 women in some communities in the constituency have benefited from the free skills development training.
Speaking at a reception held for the participants at the Kunsu residence of Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah, Mr. Owusu Banahene, who spoke on behalf of the NPP PC, said he was committed and eager to deliver in order to empower women to acquire skills and training that would make them economically self-employed.

The Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP), under the leadership of Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi, has formally commenced its 2024 electioneering campaign with the inauguration of its regional campaign working team.
The inauguration of the working committees was done immediately after the women’s conference held on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the Rattary Park Dome. The ceremony attracted party bigwigs and sympathisers.
The occasion marked the launch of the official campaign song composed by popular gospel artiste cum evangelist, Diana Asamoah.
Speaker after speaker encouraged the rank & file of the party to commit themselves to their target of gaining 85 per cent of Ashanti votes for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the December 7 general election.
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka Napo, the running mate to the flagbearer, stated emphatically that it is now easier to garner 85 per cent votes in the region for Dr. Bawumia than before.
According to him, the party’s victory depends much on the region. He, therefore, called on the rank and file of the party to start aggressive house-house, door-to-door, office-to-office, market-to-market, etc. campaign in order to spread the good news of the NPP.
According to him, the NDC led by Mr. John Mahama has nothing new to offer Ghanaians. He, therefore, cautioned Ghanaians not to make any mistake to bring back Mr. Mahama.
He added that a vote for Dr. Bawumia is for the development and betterment of the foundation laid by the Akufo-Addo administration.
According to him, if Ghanaians make a mistake to vote the NDC back to power, it will lead to the collapse of the National Health Insurance Scheme, cancellation of teachers & nurses training allowance, cancellation of Free SHS, etc.
He said the victory of the party is going to start from the Ashanti Region again as the party is determined to snatch Asawase, Ejura, New Edubiase, among other seats, currently occupied by NDC Members of Parliament.
Chairman Wontumi, Mr. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu,former Majority Leader; Mr. Justin Frimpong Kodua, Madam Akosua Frema Opare, the Chief of Staff, among other speakers, stressed the need for the rank and file of the party to unite and campaign vigorously for both the presidential candidate and all party parliamentary candidates across the country.
It would be recalled that the leadership of the NPP has set its sight on achieving an unprecedented feat of a third successive electoral victory with the Ashanti Regional NPP as its ‘torchbearer’ following a series of past achievements.

The flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and his running mate, as well as the Ashanti Regional Council of Elders of the party, still have a lot of work on their desk to deal with some disagreement among other Ashanti regional executives ahead of the December general election.
According to a reliable source, about five(5)regional executives of the party were missing from the official inauguration of the Ashanti regional working committees held on Sunday, 11th August 2024.
The executives, who were missing from the inauguration, included the first and second regional vice chairmen, regional organiser, treasurer, youth organiser and assistant secretary. They are alleged to have boycotted the ceremony to register their displeasure against what they termed as disrespect to them.
The inauguration, which took place after the women conference, was on the theme: “Consolidating the Unity in Ashanti to Break the 8”.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi, with the support of Dr. Ayew Afriyie, swore in the members of the various committees.
These executives, who are usually visible in such party outdoor activities, were not seen anywhere near the Rattary Park Dome, where the official working committees & women conference was held.
The General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Justin Frimpong Kodua, has issued a stern warning to party appointees as he reveals feedback from the regions indicates a troubling disconnect between some appointees and their local constituents.
Kodua’s comments come after a comprehensive review of the Bono Region, where it was noted that certain appointees are failing to maintain effective communication and engagement with their base.
Justin Frimpong Kodua
This lack of connection, according to sources familiar with this development, could undermine the party’s efforts and influence in the region.
In a Facebook post on Saturday (10 August) Kodua made it clear that if these issues are not addressed promptly, he will be compelled to publicly name the appointees involved.
“Feedback from my tour of the Bono region shows that some appointees have lost touch with their base. Don’t force me to start mentioning names; do the needful”, he stated.
Kodua’s remarks are likely to stir conversations within the party and among the public, as they highlight ongoing challenges in maintaining effective local governance and party cohesion ahead of the 7 December polls.
In 2023, the NPP Chief Scribe made a similar statement encouraging ministers, CEOs, and MMDCEs who feel fatigued to resign rather than undermine the party’s progress.
He expressed concern about the impact of certain appointees’ actions on the party’s popularity and urged those ‘tired’ to resign and make way for new faces.
“If you are tired, resign and leave so the party can retain power,” Kodua said during the party’s annual thanksgiving service at its headquarters in Accra.
“If you are a minister, a CEO or an MMDCE and you have not been reshuffled and you think you are tired resign. Don’t sabotage the party,” he added.
He stressed the importance of appointing new faces to propel the NPP towards achieving its objectives, urging the president to consider reshuffling the government for the party’s continued success.
“It is time for some changes in the government, so we get some new faces to continue. We believe that if we get new appointments, we will be able to retain power in the next election,” Kodua added.
Yesterday I continued my extensive tour across the country by engaging Key stakeholders of the NPP in the Dormaa West, Dormaa Central and Dormaa East constituencies in the Bono region.

Meeting with the Regional Executives led by Chairman Kwame Baffoe Abronye, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCES), Parliamentary Candidates, Constituency Executives, Electoral Area Coordinators, Council of Elders and Patrons of the Party at the constituencies is geared towards resolving differences amongst the stakeholders as we seek to rekindle the Party’s grassroots support for the 2024 general elections.

While listening to their grievances and various concerns, I also implored the stakeholders to assume ownership of the campaign at the grassroots by reaching out to electorates in the towns, communities, villages, markets and places of worship to whip support for Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia and the Party’s Parliamentary Candidates.
Traditional leaders of Nkroful, the home town of Ghana’s first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, have forgiven the New Patriotic Party (NPP) running mate, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh for a comment about the former president in Kumasi.
During the unveiling of Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, who is popularly known as Napo,as running mate to Dr. Mahamudu Bawuma on Tuesday, July 9, the former Energy Minister and Member of parliament(MP) for Manyhia South, stated that President Akufo-Addo had performed better than Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

Body language and other choice of words used by the for former energy minister spark widespread public condemnation compelling the Dr. Prempeh to apologize to Ghanaians.
The traditional leaders of Nkruful, also added their voice to the public condemnation and equally demanded an apology from the Kumasi Apagyafie royal in person before he will be forgiven.
On 9th August 2024, the NPP’s running mate as part of his campaign tour to the Western region, particularly in the Nzemaland, made a stop at Nkroful to personally apologise to the traditional leaders and the entire Nzemaland to forgive him for the comments he made.
In his apology statement,he said “I lived with Nzema people when I was growing up. Nzema people and I are one people. I will never disrespect Nkrumah in any way, anybody who attempts to disrespect Nkrumah will face the consequences of his actions.
“Nkrumah has done so much for the country. I was misconstrued, but I apologised to Ghanaians and I stand here before you to apologise for my comments again, forgive me, we’re all one people,” NAPO said.
In response, the chief of Nkroful, Nana Kwasi Kutua accepted the apology and urged him not to sin any more.
“NAPO’s comments received wide condemnation from Ghanaians because it was uncalled for. We hail the actions of Ghanaians, we thank them. We need to recognise that Nkrumah did a great job for the country.
“We’re a peaceful people, we don’t like violence, and we don’t want a situation where chaos will erupt in Ghana because of the Nzema people. We heard that NAPO apologised to Ghanaians for his comments. But he needed to come to Nzema to personally apologise to the traditional leaders and re-affirm his regrets.
“Today, he has asked for forgiveness from the chiefs, this is what we have all been waiting for, and so we accept his apology.”
The NPP’s running mate is the the Western region for campaign and to also introduce him self to the stakeholders on the region ahead of elections 2024.
OSP’s Mahama exoneration: Accept election results with same faith – Justin Kodua tells NDC
Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua
General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has commended the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s (OSP) exoneration of former President John Dramani Mahama in the Airbus bribery scandal.
Justin Kodua Frimpong expressed satisfaction with the OSP’s findings in a post on his social media platforms, stating, “We are happy to know that the NDC recognizes state institutions as functional and credible.”
Justin Kodua urged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to maintain this level of acceptance when a verdict does not do their way.
“May we see this same level of acceptance when another state institution declares the results after December 7,” he noted.
He concluded with a prayer, “May God bless our homeland Ghana and make her great and strong.”
The NPP is studying the OSP’s report and will issue a statement soon.
Background
The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) officially cleared former President John Dramani Mahama of any corruption allegations in the Airbus bribery scandal on Thursday, August 8.
At a press conference in Accra, Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng confirmed Mahama as the individual referred to as ‘Government Official 1’ in UK court documents and ‘Individual 1’ in US court filings.
However, the OSP’s investigation found no evidence of Mahama’s involvement in corrupt activities or receipt of bribes during the transactions.
“The OSP investigation found no evidence that former President Mahama was involved or played any role in the procurement and maintenance of the agency relationship between Airbus and Foster and his associates…,” the report stated.
The OSP noted that Mahama’s direct communications and meetings with Airbus officials were driven by “good intentions” to close the deal.
This conclusion follows a thorough investigation by the OSP, bringing closure to the allegations surrounding Mahama’s involvement in the Airbus scandal.Source:Metro Newsroom
