The famous Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, who’s affectionately known in the political space as COKA, has successfully solidified his bid to become the Ashanti Regional Chair of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). after going through the vetting and balloting process.
COKA, who’s highly tipped to become the Ashanti Regional NPP chairman, picked number one on the ballot paper ahead of the 15th August, 2026 regional delegates conference.

Speaking to journalists, Asanteman COKA said he was poised to lead the victory as the next regional and subsequently lead an aggressive campaign to enable NPP to recapture power come the 2028 general election.
The Ashanti Regional NPP chairman hopeful observed that where NPP are today is not where they intend to be as a party.
According to him, the main aim of forming a political party is to win power, nothing more and nothing less,” he said.
He pledged to pursue lawful strategies to increase both the party’s presidential vote and the number of parliamentary seats it wins in the Ashanti Region with a united front.
COKA also promised to run clean and issue-based campaign, avoiding personal attacks on his opponents.
“I am ready to run a clean campaign, a respectful and idea-based campaign,” he said.Looking beyond the internal contest,
According to him, the NPP would be ready to challenge NDC in the next general election.“We are ready for Asiedu Nketiah; we are ready for the NDC. I see victory coming in 2028,” he said.
The NPP is electing new regional executives across the country as part of a broader restructuring process aimed at rebuilding the party ahead of the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections.
