With barely a few days to the Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates conference expected to be held at Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, 15th August, 2026, constituency organisers have endorsed one of their own to succeed the incumbent regional organiser, Dr Francis Adomako, who has decided to vie for the regional secretary position.
The incumbent Manso-Nkwanta constituency organiser, Mr Daniel Kwaku Mensah (DKM), bid to become the next regional organiser got a major boost after his colleagues picked nomination forms for him and also accompanied him to the vetting process.

The Manhyia North organiser, Mr Isaac Kwame Boakye, speaking on behalf of the constituency organisers, said to them DKM is the best among the aspirants to fill the big gap Dr Francis Adomako’s exit as the regional organiser is going to create.
“We need a working organiser. We need an experienced regional organiser and someone who can lead to mobilise members to win power,” he added. “We’re very convinced that DKM is the man for the job to continue the good work done by the outgoing regional organiser.”
According to constituency organisers who are supporting DKM, he possesses similar attributes to the incumbent organiser who, after serving two terms, has decided to vie for regional secretary.

PDKM is also very humble and hard-working. a team player, result-orientated and good at resource mobilisation.”We don’t want an organiser who comes and depends on the national leadership resources before he can function or implement activities of the party.

With DKM, we have confidence in his ability to mobilise the needed resources to support what national and other support is needed to strengthen the party towards our determination to win back power.
We’re therefore appealing to the delegates to vote massively for DKM come 15th August 2026 to continue the good work of Dr Francis Adomako, who is popularly known in the political space as Francois. On his part, Mr Daniel Kwaku Mensah said he was very confident of winning the contest.
He said the ultimate goal is to help Ashanti Region lead in membership mobilisation to help them recapture power in 2026.
He promised to work hand in hand with everyone and used the opportunity to caution against any acts of divisive tendencies.
