Dec.7 polls:NPP targets to double votes in Volta Region – Justin Kodua

With Ghana’s 2024 elections on the horizon, both major parties are stepping up their campaigns.

Recently, NPP General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua shared a bold goal on Pure 95.7 FM:

According to him,the NPP wants to increase its votes in the Volta Region traditionally an NDC stronghold from 10% in 2016 to over 20% in 2024.

For Justin Kodua, this isn’t just about numbers; it’s about showing that the NPP is committed to all Ghanaians, no matter where they live. He emphasized the party’s focus on addressing local issues in the Volta Region to earn people’s trust.

“This is about building a Ghana that benefits everyone,” he said, stressing the NPP’s push for inclusivity. Kodua also added, “We have demystified the perception that NPP is an Akan party,” signaling the party’s efforts to break stereotypes and broaden its appeal.

He even hinted that, winning the seat in Hohoe could be within reach, encouraging supporters not to be surprised if it happens.

With election day approaching, Kodua’s statement signals a new approach. The NPP is not only campaigning but aiming to show it can represent every Ghanaian.

Whether this strategy will resonate remains to be seen, but it certainly makes the 2024 election one to watch.
