Member of Parliament for Anyaa Sowutuom, Hon. Emmanuel Tobbin, has declared his constituency’s full support for the re-election of Justin Kodua Frimpong (JFK) as General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), describing his humility, emotional intelligence and consensus-building ability as critical leadership qualities the Party cannot afford to lose ahead of the 2028 elections.

Speaking during JFK’s campaign tour at Weija-GBAWE, Hon. Tobbin appealed to Constituency Executives from Weija-GBAWE and Domeabra-Obom to vote massively for JFK, stressing that the NPP needs a General Secretary capable of bringing people together, managing differences and building consensus at a time when the Party is seeking to rebuild and return to power.

“We cannot afford to lose JFK’s humility and emotional intelligence as our General Secretary in our quest to win power in 2028,” Hon. Tobbin stated.

The Anyaa Sowutuom MP further announced that he has secured a 100 percent commitment for JFK in the Anyaa Sowutuom Constituency, following extensive consultations and consensus-building with his Constituency Executives.

According to him, the decision reflects a collective conviction among the executives that Justin Frimpong Kodua’s leadership qualities and experience make him the right person to continue serving as General Secretary as the NPP reorganises and prepares for the 2028 elections.

“I have built consensus with my executives, and we have all seen the need to retain JFK. I am therefore declaring 100 percent votes for JFK in Anyaa Sowutuom,” he affirmed.

A LEADER WHO BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER

Hon. Tobbin said JFK’s strength lies not only in his administrative capacity but also in his ability to build bridges, listen to divergent views and bring people together around a common objective.

He noted that in a political party as diverse as the NPP, the ability to build consensus and maintain cohesion is indispensable to electoral success.

He argued that JFK has demonstrated these qualities consistently, particularly during challenging periods for the Party, and deserves the opportunity to continue the rebuilding process.

A PILLAR OF THE “MIGHTY MINORITY”

Hon. Tobbin also highlighted JFK’s contribution to the work of the NPP Parliamentary Caucus, stressing that as a Member of Parliament and a member of the Minority, Justin Kodua Frimpong has been a pillar in the discharge of their parliamentary responsibilities.

He credited JFK’s support, coordination and commitment to the Caucus as part of the factors that have strengthened the performance of NPP MPs in Parliament and contributed to their reputation as the “Mighty Minority.”

According to him, the leadership JFK has demonstrated within Parliament is evidence of his capacity to work across different levels of the Party and provide the coordination required to achieve a common political objective.

The Anyaa Sowutuom MP maintained that the NPP’s immediate task is to rebuild trust, strengthen its structures, unite its members and position itself for victory in 2028.

He therefore urged delegates to make their votes count by retaining a General Secretary who, in his view, has demonstrated humility, emotional intelligence, consensus-building and commitment to the Party.

He called on the executives of Weija-GBAWE and Domeabra-Obom to similarly give JFK a strong mandate, arguing that the Party’s return to power will require experienced and unifying leadership.
