“Without good communication,the Party suffers”.
Dr.Keskine, who’s highly tipper as the next Ashanti regional communication director for NPP, stated these during an interaction with journalists after successfully filling his nomination forms on Friday, 17th July, 2026 at DMB office, Asokwa,Kumasi.

Dr.Keskine, who was accompanied by several communication team members of the party in the Ashanti Region, stressed that weak communication affects every level of party leadership.“Without a good communication structure, the party suffers, the chairman suffers, and the organiser too suffers,” he stated. “Our opponents will define us if we do not define ourselves.

In our strongholds, we must be the loudest, the clearest, and the most consistent voice.”He noted that communication in modern politics goes beyond press releases and radio appearances. According to him, it must include rapid response teams, digital engagement, constituency-level information officers, and feedback mechanisms that link the grassroots to national leadership.Dr Owusu argued that a stronger communications directorate would help prevent misinformation, project government and party achievements, and provide timely support to regional and constituency executives.

The communications expert also placed emphasis on building the next generation of NPP communicators. He said one of his priorities will be to mentor the youth and bring them into the political game at all levels, equipping them with the skills to articulate party policy and engage voters effectively.

“The youth are the energy of our party,” Dr Owusu said. “We must train them, guide them, and give them platforms to grow. When we invest in young communicators today, we are securing the future of the NPP.”

He added that his proposed mentorship programme would focus on media training, digital strategy, message discipline, and understanding party structures to prepare young members for both internal and national political contests.

Citing his nearly two decades of experience in the field, Dr Owusu urged delegates to consider him as the right choice to lead the party’s communications efforts. He said his background positions him to build a directorate that is disciplined, data-driven, and responsive to the needs of the party from the constituency to the national level.“As someone who has worked in communications for 19 years, I understand the challenges and the opportunities,” he noted. “My goal is to ensure that the NPP speaks with one voice, protects its image, and wins the battle of ideas.”

He assured the rank and file of the party that “I’m not here to promote division and disunity. We’ll allow everyone to play his or her role effectively and efficiently devoid of divisions. We’ll not tolerate division.Communication department is a single most important organ to power NPP to victory in 2028.He was therefore confident of winning not less than 70 percent of the votes come 15th August, 2026 regional delegates conference.
In a related development, the majority of the party communicators declared their support for his bid.According to them, they have worked Dr.Keskine Owusu for many years and know very well that is the right person for the job hence their support for him.
