The founder of United Ladies and Gents for DMW, who doubles as deputy coordinator for B24 Asawasi, Mariam Yussif, has officially made her intention known to the delegates of NPP and party supporters that when the nomination is open, she will pick the form for the Asawasi youth organiser position.
The 34-year-old BSC in Information Technology (IT) student at Christian Service University (CSU) in Kumasi, who once contested for Assemblywoman for the Akurem electoral area within the Asawasi Municipality but was not successful, made her intention known in an official statement.
The full statement is reproduced below. I. Mariam Yussif. humbly declare my intention to contest for the position of Youth Organiser for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Asawasi constituency.
Asawasi remains a crucial constituency where the strength and commitment of the youth can determine the future of our party.
The NPP has made steady gains over the years, and with renewed energy, unity, and effective mobilisation, we can achieve greater success.I am stepping forward with a clear vision to:
