The collapsed bridge serves as a vital link between Bugri and Bugri Corner, and onward to the Bawku Municipality. It is an important route for residents, traders, commuters, and other road users.

In a related development, another bridge connecting Bugri to Pusiga has also been washed away, making it extremely difficult for vehicles and pedestrians to use the road.

Residents say the destruction of these two bridges has left the community isolated and has created serious transportation challenges, affecting movement of people, goods and access to essential services.

The people of Bugri are now appealing to the Ministry of Roads and Highways, the Member of Parliament for Tempane, Lydia Adakudu Akanvariba, and the District Chief Executive for Tempane to urgently intervene and reconstruct the damaged bridges to prevent further loss of lives and restore access to the affected communities.
