Mr.Muhammed Mansur (Odeefuo),a Kumasi-based businessman and security expert,has called on the rank and file of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to put behind all internal bickering and unite to secure victory in the 2028 general election.
It would be recalled that, as he is affectionately called in the political space recently lost in his bid to become Asawase Constituency Second Vice Chairman for NPP.
In an interview with journalists, Mr. Mansur emphasized that individual ambitions must be subordinated to the collective interest of the party.
According to him ,the only pathway for the NPP to reclaim political power is through absolute unity and grassroots reconciliation devoid divisive tendencies. Odeefuo recounted that his loss in the Asawase constituency election is a minor setback.

Adding that the bigger and more critical picture is the survival and victory of the NPP in 2028. ‘We. (NPP)cannot go into the next general election with a fractured front. Sickness, hunger, and economic struggles do not ask for your party card. The current NDC administration has disappointed Ghanaians despite their lofty campaign promises, and only a united NPP can rescue this nation. But we can only do this if we put our house in order first.”,he asserted.
With the highly anticipated NPP regional executive elections drawing close, the security expert issued a strong warning to all prospective candidates vying for various regional portfolios.
He,therefore urged the aspirants forthcoming regional and national executives elections to run clean, issue-based campaigns devoid of personal attacks, character assassination, and insults on social media.
Odeefuo reminded the rank and file of NPP that toxic internal campaigns only provide ammunition for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and set the party up for another devastating defeat in 2028.
“I am appealing as a matter of urgency to all regional aspirants to stop the insults and the mudslinging. If we destroy ourselves during these internal campaigns, how do we stand together to fight the NDC in 2028? The insults we throw at each other today will be used against us by our opponents tomorrow. Let us compete with decorum and sell solid, practical ideas.
Besides,Odeefuo advised winners of the recent held constituencies elections to exercise extreme humility in their celebrations. He urged them to halt any form of mockery or teasing directed at defeated aspirants, reminding them that leadership is about addition, not subtraction.
“To those who won, I say stop the mockery. You cannot run a successful campaign or build a strong party if you alienate those who lost. Be very circumspect in your public utterances. We need the strength, ideas, and supporters of everyone who contested. Our language must be welcoming and designed to pull floating voters and aggrieved members back into the NPP family”, he said.
Odeefuo concluded by expressing strong optimism about the NPP’s fortunes under the leadership of the party’s flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, provided the party implements robust grassroots reconciliation strategies.
He called on newly elected constituency executives across the country to actively reach out to defeated candidates and integrate them into the party’s campaign committees.
