Stop chasing money and material things – Apostle Ackah Braimah cautions pastors

The Leader and Founder of the Caravan of Prayer Outreach Ministry at Gyinyase in the Asokwa Constituency of Ashanti, Apostle Johnson Ackah Braimah, has chastised “get rich quick pastors”.

According to him, the tendency for so-called men of God to get rich within a short time has become fashionable and competitive these days.

He said there is nothing wrong to become affluent as a pastor; however, whoever uses his position as a pastor to dupe innocent people is not a real man of God.

In an interview, Apostle Braimah pointed out that the craze to “get rich quick” in the pastoral ministry is not sanctioned by God. He added that it is tantamount to worldliness; hence, people must be cautious in order not to fall prey to materialistic pastors.

He admitted that forming a church is not something easy but that doesn’t mean one should use dubious means to amass wealth in a swift manner. “Start simple and let God uplift and bless you,” he advised.

According to him, instead of some people seeking their own salvation and blessings from God as enshrined in the Holy Bible, they rather follow all sorts of things, making them vulnerable to unscrupulous people who call themselves men of God.

He, therefore, advised Ghanaians to sow the seed of faith and be steadfast in God and not indulge in things which are not of God.

Apostle Braimah challenged his fellow men of God that there is nowhere in the Bible that commands pastors to sell  prayers, sugar, water, orange and other products as a means of achieving prosperity in life.

He said it is strange that some people believe in anointing oil, water and other products and think that they represent God’s anointing.

“The most powerful anointing is the Word of God, which people must rely on to open their heaven and prosperity gates,” he stressed.
