A Ghanaian- based in United States of America,Mrs Grace Nana Ama Oparah ,who is popularly known as Ohemaa Kwartemaa, the Founder of Ohemaa Kwartemaa Foundation, has donated exercise books and mathematical sets worth five thousand Cedis ,(Ghc 5000) to all final year Girls students in three schools in Atwima Kwanwoma District of Ashanti Region
The beneficiary schools are; Ampabame No 2 D/A JHS ‘A’ and ‘B’ and Darko M/ A JHS
Presenting the items, Ohemaa Kwartemaa, also known as Mad Grace Adu, who is an entrepreneurer , philanthropist and professional said,she was born in a typical village but now she is working in the USA because she didn’t joke with her studies She, therefore,advised the female students to be focused and concentrate on their studies
She advised them to abstain from early sex , avoid bad friends that will lead them to immorality.
The Girls Prefect for Ampabame No 2 D/ A JHS, Miss Akua Agyeiwaa Adubofour on behalf of all the schools, thanked Ohemaa Kwartemaa Foundation for the support and asked for computer assistance to help them learn the computing.
The Headmistress of Ampabame No 2 D/A JHS, Madam Patricia Appau,on behalf of all the schools expressed her appreciation to Ohemaa Kwartemaa Foundation for the gesture .She also appealed for sanitary pads for the girls from Ohemaa Kwartemaa Foundation among other benevolent any time they wish to come to their aid.According to the Headmistress, most of the girls don’t come to school during their menstrational periods due to lack of Sanitary pads to protect them
Besides,at Aboaso community,Ohemaa Kwartemaa Foundation has given full scholarship to brilliant girls in Aboaso
Beneficiary schools are ,Asante Gyapong R/C JHS And B, and Aboaso M/A JHS
In a separate programs, she narrated how she started life up to -date .
She was born at Abotreye, a village near Assin Kushea in the Assin North District of Central Region .She had to walk for 10 miles each day to school from Abotreye to Atweneboanna
She was the first female to pass common entrance in the area at the age of 17 years .
By dent of hard work, she holds her master’s degree and has worked as an Auditor in Obuasi Ashanti Goldfields ,Branch manager for NIB and now in USA
She promised to give full scholarship to brilliant girls in Aboaso
She advised them to be law abiding students to their teachers, parents and the elderly
She promised again to provide Sanitary pads to the girls every quarter of the year
Mrs Joyce Ampeh the Circuit Supervisor for Aboaso Circuit was
full of joy for the support
She pleaded for a computer lab

JHS was so thankful to the foundation and asked for extension of the scholarship to the brilliant boys
