Prof.Peter O. Twumasi,the Director General (D-G) of National Sports Authority(NSA) has announced that work has begun on a 3-acre Sports Academy at Abodease in the Ahafo Ano South West District.

According to him,the would-be boarding facility is expected to offer young footballers and other athletes in the rural area an opportunity to be trained professionally.
He said Facilitators of the project include a team from Prof Twumasi Project Center and other philanthropists.

Prof.Peter Twumasi who is one of the Parliamentary candidate hopefuls for Ahafo Ano South West Constituency explained that the FIFA standard pitch with boarding facility would go a long way to create more opportunities for the the youth in the area when completed.

That Mr.Frank Boahen of Green Grass Technology is constricting the FIFA standard natural grass for the pitch.

He revealed that Road and bridges to the site have been completed
