Residents of Aduamoa, a community in the Kwahu district of the Eastern Region, have urged the government and the district assembly to assist them to fix of the area’s road network.

Aduamoa  is known as a community where farming and business go on. It’s road network connects with other neighboring communities, such is the reason residents, especially farmers, and traders have made a petition to authorities for the construction of the roads.According to them, the deplorable nature of the roads is  bad.

The current state of the road.

The road that leads to their farm and also the streams is really disturbing, most of the farmers use this road  to transport their cultivated product  to the market to sell.

Looking at the issue, most of them said they can’t use a truck or normal car on that road, it either they do it that themselves or use a tricycle, which is expensive.

They added that, the tricycle usually breaks down due to bad roads and causes them carry the crops the rest to the way.Also, the road  that can be use as easy asses to other communities like  Oboo, Nkawkaw, Nkwatia, Oboamin, has been blocked making it difficult for other communities for trading activities in other communities to go on.  Not even just trading but making the community serve as major link to other community.

Nana Ahea Tutu Breampong II, of the town said that in-spit of the petition to the government, the road remained unattended to.He added that, the  only road which connects the community had become a dead road, forcing drivers and farmers to abandoned using the road because of how bad it is, especially during rainy season.

Some drivers from the community also said, the muddy nature of the road during rainfall made it difficult for them to convey passengers and goods to their destination in the area.They urge the government to fix the road in other to alleviate the people’s burden.
