The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe Abronye, has strongly endorsed the re-election of the Party’s General Secretary, Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong (JFK), describing his tenure as one that has delivered significant reorganisation and positioned the NPP for the task of recapturing power in 2028.
Chairman Abronye made the declaration in Dormaa, where he and members of the Bono Regional Executive Committee received JFK and his campaign team as part of his campaign tour of the region.

He was emphatic that JFK’s record since assuming office speaks for itself, pointing to the reforms, structures and systems introduced under his leadership to strengthen the Party from the polling station level to the national level.
“JFK has delivered the best reorganisation our Party has seen. He is our surest bet to recapture power in 2028,” Chairman Abronye declared.

He also challenged General Secretary aspirants campaigning on a promise to “reorganise” the NPP, arguing that such rhetoric risks undermining the extensive reforms already undertaken by the Party and approved by its constitutional bodies.
According to Chairman Abronye, those preaching reorganisation must not create the impression that nothing has been done. Doing so diminishes the work of the Party and the National Council, which has sanctioned major structural reforms aimed at rebuilding and repositioning the NPP.
Significantly, JFK’s tour of the Bono Region received the backing of key members of the Regional Executive Committee. Chairman Kwame Baffoe Abronye, 1st Vice Chair Mrs. Kate Amponsah Agyare, Regional Secretary Kofi Boateng, Regional Organiser Razak Oppong, Regional Nasara Organiser Osman Faisal, Deputy Regional Secretary Randy Ashraf, Regional Treasurer Veronica Tuffour and Regional Women’s Organiser Samira Sulley all joined JFK on the campaign trail.
The Regional Executives declared their unflinching commitment to JFK’s re-election, stressing that the Party must consolidate the gains already made rather than abandon a leadership and reform agenda that has strengthened its structures.
For the Bono leadership, the choice is therefore about continuity, consolidation and readiness for 2028. They maintained that JFK has demonstrated the competence, institutional knowledge and leadership required to continue rebuilding the NPP and position it for a return to government.
